ENHANCEMENT OF APPLICATION INTELLIGENT MINING SUPPLY CHAIN – PTBA
Monday, October 19, 2015 a Kick-Off Meeting was held which was attended by IT Senior Manager as representatives of the PTBA Team in Charge, their respective Field Coordinators, and the project team at Menara Kadin, PTBA Jakarta. In this activity the project team explained the entire project so that the participants present could understand and take up roles in each of the Work Units.
PT. Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk is a state-owned company engaged in the coal mining sector of PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. PTBA has work locations / work units spread across various regions in Indonesia, namely: Tanjung Enim - South Sumatra, Tarahan - Bandar Lampung, Kertapati - Palembang, Jakarta, Gresik - East Java and Ombilin - West Sumatra.
PTBA has been running its business which is supported by the integrated ERP application ABB Enterprise Software Ellipse and the Intelligent Mining Supply Chain application built by Mandala Integrasi Teknologi. The Intelligent Mining Supply Chain application is a system used in PTBA's core business which covers the entire business process from mining to selling coal.
As the company's core business application, the Intelligent Mining Supply Chain application is required to have good performance so that it can support business operations in PTBA and can provide the accuracy of information data needed by management in making decisions. Responding to business challenges at PTBA in order to support the above needs and optimize the system by achieving reliable performance, EMS offers Enhancement Solutions for Intelligent Mining Supply Chain Applications which include MineMarket technical update & infrastructure work, rationalization of reports & tuning, MineMarket User Interface Enhancement.
PTBA requires an Intelligent Mining Supply Chain Application that can manage coal business process activities and can reduce unnecessary cost risks such as the cost of unsynchronizing ship schedules with coal availability. This system will later become a coal business solution that visualizes every process of coal supply chain activities at PTBA, monitors the available stock inventory at the mine online and real-time, manages coal production to fulfill sales contracts on time and on quality. The management of this process is very important and helps top management in making decisions quickly and accurately.
With the Intelligent Mining Supply Chain application, PTBA will respond more quickly to domestic and global business developments and can further optimize the company's business plans in the future. In addition, this integrated system will be able to avoid various problems related to inconsistencies, both those related to schedules, the suitability of the products produced to the accuracy of the product distribution schedule. All these efforts are made in order to increase customer satisfaction (customer satisfaction).
With the implementation of this system, it is hoped that this application will be able to answer the challenges and needs of PTBA in increasing coal production and sales capacity in the coming year.
